Overview
Almancy conducted a thorough annual inspection of the Dubai Port facility, examining underwater structures, piers, and jetties for structural integrity and potential issues. Our team of certified divers used advanced inspection techniques including underwater cameras, ROVs, and ultrasonic testing to assess the condition of critical infrastructure components. The inspection identified several minor maintenance issues that were addressed proactively, preventing potential operational disruptions.
Challenge
The port facility required a comprehensive inspection of all underwater structures while maintaining normal operations. The inspection needed to cover a large area with varying depths and visibility conditions.
Solution
We deployed a team of 8 certified divers working in shifts, along with 2 ROVs for deeper areas. The inspection was carefully scheduled to minimize disruption to port operations, with work conducted in sections during off-peak hours.
Results
The inspection was completed on schedule and identified several minor maintenance issues that were addressed proactively. Our detailed report provided the port authority with a comprehensive assessment of their infrastructure condition and recommendations for future maintenance.
